Position: TL-PLSC ( Plant Logistics Supply Chain )
Experience: 15+ yrs
Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech + MBA (Operations / Supply Chain preferred)
Location: Chakan, Pune
Role Summary
Responsible for managing end-to-end warehouse operations, post-glass assembly handling, logistics, and customer coordination in an automotive environment, ensuring OTIF delivery, zero-defect dispatch, full traceability, and high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities-
1. Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Manage complete warehouse operations: GRN, storage, picking, packing, dispatch
- Ensure inventory accuracy (>99%) and strict FIFO/FEFO compliance
- Optimize space utilization, layout, and material flow
- Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation
2. Post Glass Assembly Operations
- Ensure safe handling of assembled automotive glass (damage-free: scratch, crack, chip)
- Maintain proper storage, cleanliness, and contamination control
- Enforce standard handling and process discipline
3. Packing, Dispatch & Logistics
- Ensure OTIF delivery performance aligned with customer schedules (JIT/JIS)
- Manage customer-specific packing standards, labeling, and palletization
- Coordinate with transporters for vehicle placement, routing, and cost optimization
- Reduce transit damages and dispatch errors
4. Traceability & Compliance
- Ensure 100% batch/lot traceability for all dispatched materials
- Maintain accurate ERP/SAP system records
- Ensure compliance with OEM, statutory, GST, and E-way bill requirements
5. Quality & Customer Satisfaction
- Ensure zero-defect dispatch through pre-dispatch inspection
- Handle customer complaints, drive root cause analysis, and implement CAPA
- Support customer audits and ensure compliance with OEM standards
6. Customer Relationship Management
- Act as a single point of contact for customers (OEMs/Tier-1) for dispatch and logistics matters
- Ensure alignment with customer production schedules and priority requirements
- Proactively communicate on:
- Dispatch status
- Delays / risks
- Improvement actions
- Build strong relationships to enhance customer trust and satisfaction scores
7. Returnable Packaging Management
- Manage returnable racks, bins, and dunnage cycles
- Monitor availability, losses, and damages to avoid supply disruption
8. EHS & 5S
- Ensure compliance with EHS standards (ISO 14001 / 45001)
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized warehouse (5S practices)
- Drive a zero-incident safety culture
9. Team Management & Development
- Lead and supervise warehouse and dispatch teams
- Identify training needs and develop team capabilities
- Promote accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement culture
